Just an update about the new sites I am getting these Destin Vacation Homes listed on. Both of these are now live or will be shortly. The first one is Vacation Home Rentals and the second one is Home Escape.
Both of these websites above promise never to charge the owners or renters for the basic service but will finance their websites with premium services.
With or without VRBO, my units are filling up fast. It would appear that many people are waiting until last minute to book and are having to scramble to find a Destin beachfront condo rental. If you just found this website be sure to check the videos along with the availability calendars over on the left side of the page view you are looking at.

This Destin Pelican Beach Resort Owner Not Going To Give In To VRBO
Over the last few weeks I have renter after renter(for my Destin Pelican Beach Resort condos) tell me they refuse to pay the 10% service fee to VRBO to make a booking in a unit signed up for VRBO to collect the payment. I understand their concern completely.
Now VRBO is telling all the owners that upon renewal of owners contract then each and every renter that comes through VRBO will accrue a service fee whether VRBO collects the rental payment or the owner collects the rental payment.
I had a nice long talk with a VRBO representative this morning and she said they have overwhelming support from renters thanking them for charging this extra fee. Her reasoning is that there is added protection for the renter and they feel "safer" with VRBO being in the middle of the booking. I thanked her for her time and will continue to look for alternative ways to advertise my 2 Destin Beachfront Condo Rentals. What I have found that works great for me is I allow the future renter to negotiate the fee with me and then after I talk to the front desk management company I get the renter a confirmation number and let the renter call the front desk with credit card information.
What is really happening is the VRBO/Home Away company just sold to another entity and this is a way to finance their purchase.

Looking For One Bedroom Or Two Bedroom Beachfront Condo Rental In Destin
Are you looking for a one bedroom or two bedroom beachfront condo rental in Destin? If so there is no better place than the Pelican Beach Resort in Destin.
The resort is a high rise(19 stories) built in 1997 with all the one bedroom units directly facing the water and almost all the 2 bedrooms on an angle to the water. The corner stack(2 bedroom) has both views.
The Pelican building(where my units are located) is directly on the beach. Not only is there lots of beach just for the Pelican guests but an indoor/outdoor pool and another outdoor pool as well.
We also have an exercise room, sauna and steam bath. During the spring break, summer and fall break there is special activities for the kids.
