Are there any handicap accessible condos at the Pelican Beach Resort?

The answer is yes and no. Today I got an inquiry regarding handicap accessible condos at the Destin Pelican Beach Resort.

The answer depends on what you mean by handicap accessible! If you are looking for a wheel chair accessible unit then there are none in the building on the beach and one in the Terrace(building just inside the resort but not on the beach).

However, there are several one bedroom and two bedroom units with handrails and handicap accessible shower in one of the bathrooms located in the main building(on the beach).

If you are looking for a handicap accessible unit at the Pelican Beach Resort, just call us at 850-654-1425 and mention booking code A1080 and also what type of handicap accessible unit you are looking for.

  1. Thank you for your site. I am looking for a condo or unit wheelchair accessible for my son (age 40), his wife & mother of each..4 very quiet & responsible adults. He is paralyzed from chest down so cannot stand..needs either chair width (28-29") to tub or shower & bedroom, common areas, etc. Pls advise if you know of anything in Destin area. Must be reasonably priced. Thank you kindly.

  2. I believe the Pelican beach Resort has a unit or two in their Terrace Building that is completely handicap accessible.
