One More Renter Before New Year & Snowbirds

A few months ago, my wife and I donated a 5 nights stay in the nicest beachfront condo at the Destin Pelican Beach Resort.

We donated it to Christ Classical Academy(in Dyersburg,Tn) and their annual fundraiser auction. The family that eventually bid the highest amount must have heard about how nice it is because they paid lots of money for the 5 night stay.

They check in on December 27 and out New Years Day. Our snowbirds check in also on New Years Day for a 2 1/2 months stay.

I am always looking for ways to upgrade my condo #1004 at Destin's Pelican Beach Resort.

This Friday I am planning on flying down to Destin and putting in either porcelain or ceramic tile in the master bedroom. My next renter checks in on Sunday so I have to have it ready by then.

The entire condo will then be tile floors with the exception of some area rugs. Our condo is already rated deluxe plus but we want it rated the #1 condo at the Destin Pelican Beach Resort.

Our First Vacation In 30 Years-Destin,Florida

Some of our very best friends here in Dyersburg work all the time and have not taken a vacation in 30 years. I know that is hard to believe.

We go to church with Pete and Sonja and they just came back from "paradise" to quote them correctly.

Just Beautiful At Pelican Beach Resort Destin

Today it is just beautiful at the Pelican Beach Resort Destin. My family and I got here Saturday afternoon and it has been sunny everyday with the exception of a storm front which came through at dark last night. I got up this morning to a bright sunny day with temperatures in the 70's.

I went swimming on Monday and the water was cold at first but not bad at all once I got used to it.

Today is our last full day at the resort and I am sure we are headed down to the beach after the movie "Gone with the Wind" goes off our tv.

We Are Headed to Destin Pelican Beach Resort This Weekend

My family and I are headed to the Destin Pelican Beach Resort this weekend for a short vacation. We will only be there a few days(my wife says not long enough) then back home and school for the kids.

I am planning to return to the condo the second weekend in December to tile the master bedroom. If it is pretty my brother in law and I will fly down(3 hr flight) and if not we will drive(9 hr drive). That trip will be quick as it is just a working on condo trip.

There are still a few empty spaces in December on my calendar over on the left so let me know if you want to sneak in a quick vacation. Looks like there is also 3 days and nights open the end of this month.
