Destin, Florida has been chosen by the Travel Channel to have the best family beach in 2013. Actually they chose the number one beach in ten different categories and Destin came in #1 ahead of Paradise Island,Bahamas and the Outer Banks in North Carolina and Cape Cod Massachusetts.

Good Morning From Pelican Beach Resort Destin

Good morning from Pelican Beach Resort Destin! My family and I arrived at the resort on Monday. Not only was the parking lot full but the beach had lots of guests also. It was strange that many of the beach bums were older guests. The snowbirds will be leaving today and tomorrow morning.

Since there was a snowbird in our unit, these first three days we are in another unit. Right now I am sitting on the balcony watching the fishing boats head out to the fishing grounds.

Pelican Beach Resort Destin Spring Break 2013

The Pelican Beach Resort Destin should almost be fully booked for the second week in March. I keep getting calls wanting to book and everyone is telling me they cannot find availability at the Pelican Beach during mid March.The biggest reason for the shortage in availability is because most of the snowbirds do not leave until March 15.

My wife told me a few days ago to try to find us availability at the Pelican Beach Resort during spring break. The dates we need are from about March 11 - March 16(for 5-7 days). As you can see our unit is almost fully booked with only the 2 days open for when we want to go. If any of you Pelican owners have availability please let me know so I can share with all the callers and with my wife.

Here is a  30% off special offer for mid March 2013 at the Pelican Beach Resort Destin.I just looked at the calendar and March is almost fully booked. I do have three days open from March 21-23(3 nights). The regular rate for that with all taxes and fees would be $838.05.
