Thanksgiving Week At Pelican Beach Resort In Destin

My family and I arrived here at the Destin Pelican Beach Resort 2 days ago. i was surprised to see all the people who decided to spend their Thanksgiving on the beach.

The weather and water has been absolutely perfect. Many are swimming in the ocean or riding wave runners and people like myself are just soaking up the sun sitting on my beach chair.

My plan is to return here in about 3 weeks and finish the tile job I started last year in my unit #714.

Pelican Beach Resort Destin Recent Fishing Trip

As promised, here are some pictures from my recent Pelican Beach Resort Destin fishing trip. We arrived in Destin on Sept 29 and got home on Sunday the 9th of October. The bottom right picture was our dolphin escorts back to the boat dock.

Destin Fishing Rodeo Weigh In This past Saturday

During my Destin Pelican Beach Resort vacation last week I visited the weigh-in for the Destin fishing rodeo.

Several fish were brought in but this is by far the largest I saw while sitting at the weigh in. It is a 493 lb blue marlin.

Let me remind my readers and guests in my Destin beachfront condo rentals that the fishing rodeo goes for the entire month of October. I will be back in following posts with pictures from my fishing trip but they did not get weighed in here at the rodeo.

Down below is a picture of the main outdoor pool and just beyond that is the hot tub. Also another outdoor pool that also goes into indoor pool. In between those two outdoor pools is also a kiddie pool.
