Need to rent a deluxe plus 2 bedroom at the Pelican Beach Resort?
Every condo owner at the Pelican Beach Resort Destin has the opportunity to assist others in renting units managed by the Pelican Beach management company. We can either rent them our own units or refer them to another unit.
This is exactly what I did for a lady at church last night. A couple of weeks ago I did a post about this lady looking to rent a 2 bedroom unit at the Pelican Beach Resort in Destin.In that post I solicited other owners on behalf of my friend. I do get a small referral fee(from management company) for helping her or anyone else rent a condo at the Pelican Resort.
The two that I recommended are both 2 bedrooms rated deluxe plus and both have a queen bed in the 2nd bedroom(instead of twin beds). Mine is a 1 bedroom rated deluxe plus. Sheila will be booking either unit 1712 or 1214. Both of these are near the corner stack so closer to the beach than most of the 2 br units.
If you are an owner at the Pelican and want me to mention your condo just let me know. I know you will do the same for me.
If you want to rent my condo or my help booking another condo at the resort just let me know.

One of my favorite stops while staying at the Destin Pelican Beach Resort
What do men or women do besides golfing in Destin? Well if you are like me you like to go surf fishing, jetty east fishing or deep sea fishing.
What is almost as good is going to the Half Hitch Tackle Shop there on Hwy 98 in Destin(listed as 621 Harbor Blvd). You will find everything and then some when it comes to the sport of fishing. They have every type of lure, bait, fishing rods and reels, clothing, tackle boxes, etc. Here is a link to their website where you will find useful information like fishing tips, regulations and limits, weekly fishing reports, fishing spots, fishing forecasts, weather observations, tournament schedule and much much more.
Besides going out on a charter or party boat, I also enjoy fishing out on the jetty rocks on the east pass. Here you will find monster red fish, mackerel, flounder, grouper and many others. Be sure to have a heavy test line to tangle with the big ones.

Destin Pelican Beach Resort
Back in October, about 35 people(not counting my family) from my hometown of Dyersburg spent one week of their spring break at the Destin Pelican Beach Resort. At that time we also went down and closed on the purchase of Unit 1004 at the Pelican Beach.
We talked to many on the beach about our purchase there in Destin and told them to either call us at 731-589-7841 or e-mail us at mike@dyersburgrealestate.com or go to this link to look at pictures of my "spruced up" unit and to also look at the calendar for open dates.
Before I knew it, March was filled up except for 3 days mid March. Most of the families coming for spring break require a full week. Well I have good news, all of the Pelican Owners are allowed to refer renters to other units. A friend from church needs to rent a 2 br at the Pelican in June!
My friend from church did not know that I could help her rent a 2 br condo at the Destin Pelican Beach Resort.
Actually, any owner can recommend another condo in the pelican beach management program and actually receive part of the management fee for that particular booking. Are you an owner at the Pelican Beach Resort and have availability in June(contact me asap). My friend is wanting to be on the mid-level and as close to the beach as possible. My friend will be booking her vacation this week with my booking code A1080 and I will give her 2 or 3 recommendations.

Destin Pelican Beach Resort upgrades
A few weeks ago I wrote a post about the coming upgrades at the Pelican.
My family just returned from the Pelican Beach Resort right before Christmas and the work has begun. All the units have been rekeyed, outside painting underway, and inside painting(lobby and common areas) almost complete.
We just got notified that the painting of all the walkways outside the units is underway and owners will be notified when there will be wet paint outside their individual units.
My family is anxious to return to Destin but must wait for our snowbird to depart mid-March. Actually March is pretty well booked but I am sure we will slip in a quick trip to our favorite vacation destination sometime before summer.
Since our unit is on the rental program, we would love to rent you our one bedroom unit(that sleeps 6) and can save you 5% off the rental fee if you allow me to book your stay.

What are snowbirds and what are they doing in Destin?
Today many snowbirds are checking into the Destin Pelican Beach Resort. Our unit 1004 also has snowbirds checking in today.
Snowbirds are normally retired individuals coming down from Canada or the northern United States to escape the harse winter. Most stay in Destin until the beginning or middle of March.
Have you wondered what these snowbirds do in Destin and why many chose to come and stay at Destin's Pelican Beach Resort?
