Pelican Beach Resort Owner's Association Meeting

A couple of weeks ago, I attended my first owners meeting and let me say I was quite impressed. Not only did we elect a new board of directors for the Pelican Beach Resort Owner's Association but we also reviewed the just completed upgrades and upgrades planned for the common areas and encouraged by the board for the owner's units.

Completed upgrades included:
  1. Widening the paved entrance under the canopy just outside front doors of Pelican(Looks great!)
  2. Replaced every coin operated washer and dryer(in laundry room-to be used by 1 br condo renters and owners)

Common Area upgrades coming soon:
  1. Rekey every condo(within 1 month)
  2. Repaint the entire outside of the Pelican Beach Resort building.(within 4-5 months)
  3. Replace some of the equipment in the exercise room and  replacing parts of the sauna heating system.
  4. Upgrade the cable television signal to High Definition.
 Strongly Recommended upgrades for owners:
  1. Replace tv sets with HD flat screen tv's.
  2. Upgrade bathroom mirrors
  3. Upgrade kitchen cabinets hardware
  4. At some point, replace older central heat and air units to new required freon units
  5. Upgrade cabinets and counter tops
We were introduced to the Pelican Beach manager Herb Profitt and many of his staff. In my opinion the operations of the Pelican Beach resort is doing well and I am excited about the future of the Pelican Beach Resort.
